The summer that I flew to Kenya didn’t start off as being happie…I had just went through a big setback in my life and I didn’t know what else to do, other than to go somewhere that would help me reclaim my joy and spirits!
The country of Kenya healed my heart and brought me a sense of joy, creativity, passion and vivaciousness—exactly what I had been looking for! The morning breakfast with the giraffes made me forget all my troubles and back to a gentleness spirit, reconnecting me back to the innocence of animals and the serenity of nature.
The giraffe on my left is named Sophie and the one on my right is named Wish. Sophie reminded me that I am loved and Wish told me that even if I had a setback, it doesn’t mean I’m not moving forward. I ended up feeding them all my fruit and they stayed for extra snuggles. I loved my beautiful time in Kenya, communing with myself, with animals, with nature, with people, and with culture, and can’t wait to go back!
I brought this dyed feather dress with me for my trip and the necklace was a handmade prized possession I got there from a local artisan. She even blessed it with a sacred prayer before selling it to me, for which I am so happie and grateful for.
La la la!
