Cherry Blossom Cape & Peacock Skirt

One of my favorite seasons is spring in Paris when all the cherry blossoms explode like pink candy all around the city! My cape was inspired by such beauty. Featuring silk embroidery of cherry blossoms, it is stitched together in panels like a moving quilt. When I fly on my bicycle, it moves and flaps with me!

Even more exquisite is my handstitched peacock skirt, which is layered with pink tulle. Each peacock feather, adorned with pear–cut crystals and hand–dyed into a slate and mauve shade, was sewn one by one into the skirt of the dress. More pear–cut crystals hug me around the waistband of the skirt. I just love it so much.

To complete my look, I wore a red pillbox hat and a deep red shade of lip stain that I mixed called Mesmerized.

With this outfit, I took myself out for a ride on my pink hot air balloon–bicycle. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I hope you are having fun wherever you are!
